INDIANAPOLIS- The host Greyhounds played to a 1-1, double-overtime draw with Tiffin at Key Stadium Sunday.
UIndy (0-1-1) and the visiting Dragons (1-0-1) fought through a scoreless first 45 minutes in the match. The Greyhounds struck first in the second period, with
Zak Mitiche scoring the first goal of the Greyhounds' 2014 season at the 57:50 mark with help from
Ngwese Ebangwese and
Casey Castle.

The Greyhounds held the league for about 30 more minutes before Tiffin notched the equalizer at the 87: 53 mark on Andrew Landell's second goal of the year. Landell sent a free kick off the near post and into the net behind UIndy keeper
Andrew Verhonik to knot the match at 1-1.
Neither team could score the game winner through a pair of overtimes, finishing the match in a tie. Verhonik recorded six total saves in the loss, while
David Kurz's four shots led the Greyhounds offensively.
UIndy heads into Great Lakes Valley Conference play next weekend, hosting Rockhurst and William Jewell Friday and Sunday to open the league schedule.
