THE FINAL WHISTLE
Final: UIndy 0 – #18 Bellarmine 1
Records: UIndy 1-7-2 (0-6-2 GLVC) | Bellarmine 10-0-1 (7-0-1 GLVC)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Indianapolis women's soccer team wrapped up weekend play on Sunday afternoon, against the #18-ranked Knights of Bellarmine University.

Facing their second ranked opponent in a week, the Greyhounds held the Knights off the board in the first half, but an early second half goal for Bellarmine proved to be enough for a 1-0 win.

GAME CHANGER
The Knights cashed in on the first show of the second half from either squad. Mary Beth Gorham took a lead pass from Lauren Holder to the right side of the box and beat UIndy keeper Emma Crenshaw for her ninth goal of the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
Jocelyn Evans, Michele Govern, Stephanie Burdsall and Taylor Cotherman all had a pair of shots for the Greyhounds, who were outshot by the Knights 11-8 on the day.

Govern had the Hounds' first scoring attempt of the day in the 21st minute, but was turned aside by Bellarmine goalkeeper Taylor Knight. Burdsall would have a chance to even up the match in the 71st minute, but was bested by Knight on a shot in close.

Crenshaw made four stops for the Greyhounds, keeping the team in the game with three saves after the Knights took the lead.

Gorham had three shots to lead the Knights and was tops for all attackers on the day. In goal, Knight needed to make a pair of stops to earn the shutout for Bellarmine.
