Greyhounds soar past Screaming Eagles in sixth straight win

INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy volleyball increased its current win streak up to six matches with a 3-1 (25-15, 18-25, 25-18, 25-20) victory over Southern Indiana Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds (12-10, 7-4 GLVC) have now won 10 of their last 13, continuing their strong defensive play with a 12-block performance in Saturday's win. UIndy held the visiting Screaming Eagles (9-14 (3-8) to a .102 attack percentage while totaling 54 digs.

The opening two sets played out remarkably similar to Friday's 3-1 victory against Bellarmine. After USI jumped out to a 6-1 advantage, the Greyhounds reeled off an 8-2 run and take the lead. UIndy went on to dominate the frame, totaling five blocks and holding the Screaming Eagles to a negative hitting percentage in a 25-15 win.
