INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Indianapolis men's soccer team's four-game winning streak came to an end on Sunday with a 1-1 road draw against the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers.
Neither side broke the deadlock in the first half, and it look as though extra time loomed until
Josh Ling's 79th-minute free kick goal gave the Hounds a late lead. The Rangers responded one minute later, however, with a Jack Krenzien goal that leveled the score and sent the teams to extra time.
In the extra time period, neither team found a winner and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Hounds outshot the Rangers 13-5 but only put five of their shots on target. The Rangers had more corners than the Hounds, 8-6, but neither team scored off of them.
The draw leaves the Hounds still in second in the conference table, one and a half games behind the Rockhurst Hawks, who are undefeated in conference.
