QUINCY, IL - The University of Indianapolis Greyhounds' men's soccer team picked up a road win on Friday, defeating the Quincy Hawks 2-0.
The Hounds started the scoring early, with
James Jenkins putting the visitors in front in the 10th minute. The Hawks had their fair share of opportunities, but the Hounds doubled their lead in the second half,
Javier Steinwascher scoring for the third straight game to double the Hounds' lead in the 82nd minute to seal a 2-0 win.
The Hawks outshot the Greyhounds, 13-9, but all five of their shots on frame were saved by
Miles Palmer, who picked up the clean sheet. The Hounds put nine of their shots on frame.

The win puts the Hounds in third in the conference heading into the final four games of the conference season. The team trails the first-place Rockhurst Hawks by two games but are 2.5 games clear of the conference tournament cutoff.
The Hounds' roadtrip continues on Sunday when they visit Truman at 12:00 p.m.
