ON TAP
Capping a week's worth of Homecoming activities, the No. 10 Greyhounds host 2016 GLVC-co-champ Truman State University Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Key Stadium. The match-up represents the end of a three-game homestand for UIndy, as well as the first of six consecutive conference games.

HAPPY HOMECOMING
UIndy fans and alumni have been treated to a ton of success in recent Homecoming games. The Hounds have won six consecutive Homecoming dates and 12 of their last 13. UIndy's lone loss in that span came in 2010 versus Northwood. The Hounds hosted Truman on Homecoming in 2015 and went on to defeat the Bulldogs, 26-13.

HOUNDS vs. BULLDOGS
UIndy has won three of four meetings with Truman since the two first hooked up in 2013. The Bulldogs got the best of the Hounds in the last match-up, however, holding on for a 24-17 win in Kirksville, Mo., last October. Despite finding themselves in a 14-point hole late in the first half and trailing by double digits for most of the fourth quarter, the Greyhounds nearly tied it in the final minute but failed to convert a 1st & goal situation from the Truman six-yard line.

LAST TIME OUT
The Greyhounds continued to roll last week, outlasting Hillsdale, 45-38, in dramatic fashion to remain undefeated on the year and win their eight game in a row overall. With the game knotted at 38 apiece and the Chargers driving late, senior Martece McClinton came up with the play of the night, corralling a tipped pass and taking it 93 yards the other way for the game-winning score.

INTERCEPT COURSE
McClinton's first collegiate touchdown marked the second straight week that a Greyhound returned an interception for a TD, as senior linebacker Aaron Bruning turned the trick versus Southwest Baptist Sept. 16.

TOP-10 PROGRAM
UIndy continued its ascent of the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, vaulting four spots to No. 10 this week. The ranking matches the team's highest-ever position in the weekly poll, first attained in November of 2013.

GLVC GLORY
Junior QB Jake Purichia and senior kicker/punter Brad Schickel repeated as GLVC Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively. Purichia accounted for 442 (342 passing, 105 rushing) of the team's 477 yards of total offense versus Hillsdale. He is the first Greyhound quarterback since Matt Kohn in 2003 to hit triple digits in rushing yards – a feat also accomplished against Hillsdale.

Schickel, meanwhile, became the first-ever player to win three straight GLVC Special Teams Player of the Week awards after scoring a personal-best 13 points against the Chargers. He also averaged 41.2 yards on five punts, dropping four inside the 20-yard line – three of which were downed inside the seven.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Versatile senior Tuwan Payton made history last Saturday, breaking UIndy's career record for most kickoff return yards. The New Albany, Ind., product racked up 190 yards on six returns versus Hillsdale to surpass the previous career mark of 1,624 yards, set by Ryan Forney (2008-11). He now has 348 kickoff return yards on the season, more than halfway to the program's single-season record of 678 – one he himself set last season.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The Hounds have put up 45 points in the last two games, marking the first time they've scored at least that many in back-to-back contests since October of 2013. Despite playing some stiff competition through the first quarter of the season, UIndy is averaging 36.2 points per game heading into Saturday. That pace would break the school record of 35.5 points per game, set in 2012.
