INDIANAPOLIS – Winners of nine straight games, the GLVC-champion UIndy football team secured the No. 4 seed in the upcoming NCAA Division II Super Region Three playoffs. The Greyhounds (9-1) will host fifth-seeded and MIAA-champ Fort Hays State (9-2) Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.

The NCAA announced the entire 2018 postseason field Sunday evening on NCAA.com. The top seed in SR3 (and corresponding first-round bye) went to the undefeated champions of the Great American Conference, Ouachita Baptist (11-0). The winner of the UIndy/Fort Hays matchup will head to Ouachita Baptist for a second-round clash Saturday, Nov. 24.

On the other side of the SR3 bracket, GLIAC-champ and No. 2-seed Ferris State Bulldogs (11-0) will host seventh-seeded Harding (9-2), while No. 6-seed Northwest Missouri State (9-2) with head to third-seeded Grand Valley State (10-1).

UIndy will be making its second consecutive postseason trip and fifth in the last seven years. The Greyhounds also qualified in 2012, '13, '15 and '17, with their lone postseason win coming in the first round of 2012: a 31-14 home win versus Midwestern State.
