#19 Hounds drop conference tilt at Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The No. 19 UIndy men's lacrosse team (3-3, 1-1 GLVC) endured its first Great Lakes Valley Conference loss Saturday, falling 11-7 at Young Harris College. The host Mountain Lions (8-3, 2-0) used a five-goal third quarter to help secure the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds got on the board first with an early goal from junior Tyler Johnston, and would go on to lead 4-3 at the half. But Young Harris managed to run off five unanswered goals in the third quarter to take a 8-4 advatage heading into the fourth.

The deficit touched five midway through the fourth quarter, but two quick tallies by the Hounds cut it to three late, as sophomore Parker Johnson's man-up goal came just one possession before freshman Matt Keeler's score.

UIndy would not get closer, however, as YHC would tack on one last goal in the final minute to hold off the Hounds and move to 2-0 in GLVC play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Johnston led the Hounds offensively, scoring a team-high two goals on nine shots while adding an assist.
- Overall, UIndy out-shot its host 46-23, including a 28-16 edge in shots on goal.
