GAME 1 | UIndy 4, Lewis 1
A three-run second inning proved all the offense the Hounds would need. Back-to-back one-out walks set the table for
Cathy Skaggs, who roped a triple to right field. She touched home a batter later on
Julia Liceaga's single.
Â
The Flyers managed a lone run in the bottom of the third but no more. Starter
Lauren Honkomp (10-4) picked up her 10th win of the season, scattering nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. Freshman
Halie Waters finished the game, earning her third save with 1 2/3 perfect frames.
Â
Senior
Jessie Noone added a solo home run in the seventh, marking her fourth extra-base hit in the last three games.

GAME 2 | UIndy 2, Lewis 0
Freshman
Haylie Foster entered the circle in the capper and had perhaps her best outing as a collegian. The Plainfield, Ind., native spun a two-hit shutout, striking out three and walking none. She retired the side in order in five of the first six innings, with a two-out double in the seventh marking the only base runner to safely touch second.
Â
Foster also contributed at the dish, driving in
Shannon Schuetz with the first run of the game on a fourth-inning double. Skaggs immediately followed with an RBI single to cap the scoring.

UP NEXT
