INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy student-athlete and star running back Al McKeller capped a stellar sophomore season with a national award, earning All-America Honorable Mention from D2Football.com, announced this week.
 
A graduate of local Lawrence North High School, McKeller is coming off a 2018 season that yielded conference-leading totals of 1,300 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. He was voted the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year by the league's coaches and ranked second in the region in rushing yards per game (108.3). McKeller helped to the Greyhounds to a 10-2 record last fall. UIndy captured its sixth GLVC championship in the last seven years before earning a first-round playoff win versus No. 19 Fort Hays State.
