INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis officially released its 2026 football schedule Wednesday. The Greyhounds have 11 regular season games, as well as a bye week in late October. Six homes games dot the list, including the season opener versus crosstown Marian University on Thursday, August 27.
Head Coach
Chris Keevers discussed the
2026 schedule release in UIndy Studios with
Mac Wissel.
In a series dubbed the Monumental Matchup, the Greyhounds and Knights will open the '26 slate for the second straight season. Separated by just eight miles, the two programs have faced off only three previous times, including aÂ
45-21 UIndy victory last fall.
The schedule yields two more non-conference contests, both featuring in-region opponents. The Greyhounds host the Findlay Oilers in week two before heading north to battle the Davenport Panthers seven days later.
GLVC play starts the next week and continues through the rest of the regular season. Two of the conference powerhouses clash when UIndy welcomes Truman State University for a Saturday night on Sept. 26. Other home dates include Oct. 10 (Missouri S&T), Oct. 31 (Quincy) and finally Senior Day on Nov. 7 (Southwest Baptist).
The NCAA Division II playoffs begin with first-round action in Nov. 21 and run through the national championship game Dec. 19. Stay tuned to UIndyAthletics.com for ticket information.
