INDANAPOLIS – Coming off a solid performance over the weekend, UIndy sophomore Lauren Bailey was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, announced by league officials Tuesday. The honor marks her second career weekly award from the conference, as she was also named Indoor Track Athlete of the Week in last January.
 
At the UIndy Collegiate Challenge last Friday, Bailey traversed 3,000 meters in 10:01.37, coming just three seconds shy of the school record. The Westfield, Ind., native now ranks 12th in NCAA Division II in the event.
