INDIANAPOLIS— The University of Indianapolis track & field squad will send seven Greyhounds to the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Emporia, Kan., taking place from May 21-23.
No stranger to the national stage, Alex Meyer will return to Emporia State for his fifth national meet (indoor and outdoor combined). The junior will vie for his third national title in the long jump after claiming the crown in last year's Outdoor Nationals in Pueblo, Colo., and taking the top spot in this year's Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. Meyer returns to the same venue where he made his first nationals appearance, ranked No. 1 in the nation in the men's long jump after earning his Greyhound record of 7.89m at the 2026 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Another familiar face on the national stage as well, Josue Le Cadre will make his fourth nationals appearance in the 800m in search of his third title. Le Cadre also sits atop the field in his event after breaking the 31-year-old NCAA Division II record in the 800m, clocking a 1:43.72 in Azusa, Calif., at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Also sitting at the top of his respective event, Felix Rivet will make his fourth trip to nationals, ranked No. 1 in Division II with a program record of 8:40.15 in the 3,000m steeplechase, set at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The junior has shaved over 48 seconds off his time at last year's national meet, where he finished 18th.
After finishing 11th in the 800m in indoors, Yanis Le Moullior ranks fourth nationally in the event after clocking a new personal best of 1:47.15 at the Indiana University Billy Hayes Invitational.
After earning All-America status at the 2026 DII Indoor Nationals, Vivian Osagie will make her first trip to outdoor nationals, qualifying in both the shot put and discus. The sophomore ranks in the top five for both throws and enters the weekend ranked third in the shot put with a program record of 16.43m, while also ranking fifth in the nation in the discus with a season's best of 52.44m.
Francesca Maurino, who also earned All-America status in the indoor season, will compete in two events at Welch Stadium as well, ranking sixth in both the triple jump and high jump.
The junior shattered the Outdoor GLVC Championship record earlier this month with her final jump of 12.63m, and earned her outdoor personal best in the high jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational, clearing 1.74m.
Mackenzie Van Bibber clinched her first trip to nationals with a stellar performance at the GLVC Championship meet. The senior earned gold at the conference meet as the only competitor to clear 4.00m, pushing her up to 17th in the nation.
