NEW ORLEANS— The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its annual academic awards this week, with UIndy collecting multiple team and individual accolades. Both the men's and women's squads were recognized on the All-Academic list, with 16 Greyhounds earning individual honors.
Both UIndy squads maintained the minimum 3.00 cumulative team GPA to be considered for the award. The UIndy women compiled a 3.64 team GPA, and the men's team earned recognition with a 3.21 team GPA.
Meanwhile, individual honorees needed a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 while also achieving an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) during either the indoor or outdoor season. Greyhounds to make the cut on the women's side included; Savannah Danielson, Maya Efodi, Ann Elise Sloan, Jorjia Ferguson, Francesca Maurino, Amanda Noel, Vivian Osagie, Sophia Stadler, Macie Swinehart and Mackenzie VanBibber. They were joined by seven hounds on the men's squad, including; Jacob Chapman, Cole Hurt, William Kemper, Jalen Larkey, Yanis Le Mouilour, Alex Meyer and Felix Rivet.Â
