GREENWOOD, Ind. — The University of Indianapolis women's track and field and cross country program nabbed two CSC Academic All-America® selections, it was announced Wednesday.
Sophomore Vivian Osagie and Junior Francesca Maurino both claimed their first-career Academic All-America® honors following their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Osagie was selected to the second team, while Maurino was voted to the third team.
Osagie concluded her sophomore year as the USTFCCCA DII Midwest Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year, while earning All-America distinction in the indoor and outdoor shot put and the discus. The Reggio Emelia native also broke the 17-year-old Greyhound record in the outdoor women's shot put with her season's best toss of 16.43m.
In a stand-out season for the Crimson and Grey Maurino was named the 2026 GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the year, after claiming GLVC titles in the high jump and triple jump. The Torino, Italy native set program records in the indoor high jump and triple jump and was named All-Midwest in indoor and outdoor high jump and triple jump.
