Hounds Light Up Scoreboard against Southwest Baptist

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Coming off back-to-back wins on the road last week, the UIndy men's soccer team hit the road for their final two road games of the regular season Friday afternoon. After falling behind1-0 in the opening minutes, the Hounds scored early and often against GLVC newcomer Southwest Baptist, topping the host 11-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling behind 1-0 in the game's second minute, the Greyhounds tied it at 1-1 in a matter of minutes when the Steinwascher brothers connected for the UIndy goal. After Alejandro's goal, freshman Bryan Moreira found the back of the net for the first time of the game to give UIndy the lead and the Hounds would not look back. Javier Steinwascher would add a goal to his stat line later in the half before Seth Ward came off the bench to score his third goal of the year.

The Hounds' 4-1 halftime lead would not last as UIndy just kept adding to it in the second half. Moreira would score for the second time to open the second half up for UIndy before Mase Koki came in off the bench to put up a hat trick against the Bearcats in just 53 total minutes of work on the day. Three other Greyhounds would tally a goal in the half before the game winded down. Ewan Lynch netted his third goal in conference play this season, Patryk Olczyk scored his first collegiate goal, and Jack Berger converted a penalty kick late as UIndy went on to win 11-2 in Bolivar.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-11 goals for the Greyhounds is the most under John Higgins while it is the most SBU has allowed in a game since they allowed 10 goals in a game back in 2013.
-Mase Koki's hat trick was the first time a Greyhound had tallied three goals in a game since Daniel Wellmann had three goals against St. Joseph's in October 2014.
-UIndy now rides a four-game conference winning streak into their next game, their longest winning-streak in conference play since 2015.

UP NEXT
The Hounds will head over to Springfield, Missouri, to face Drury Sunday afternoon. UIndy and the Panthers are scheduled for a 3:30 pm ET start.
