WACO, Texas  – Fresh off a bye week, the unbeaten UIndy football team (6-0, 4-0 GLVC) continued to move up the national rankings, coming in at No. 8 in this week's AFCA Division II Coaches Poll. As the only idle team in the top 25, the Greyhounds climbed two spots to secure its highest ranking since November of 2017.
Â
The biggest outcome over the weekend came when then-seventh-ranked Northwest Missouri State dropped a 24-17 decision at Nebraska-Kearney. The result leaves just four undefeated teams in Super Region Three, including No. 2 Ferris State, fifth-ranked Ouachita Baptist, No. 11 Central Missouri and the aforementioned Greyhounds.
Â
Additionally, the Hounds made their 33rd straight appearance in the coaches' top 25, upping their own program record for consecutive time spent in the national rankings.
