INDIANAPOLIS – After earning their 10th win on the season Friday night against Missouri S&T, the UIndy women's soccer team was back in action on their home field Sunday afternoon against the Maryville Saints. UIndy scored early and was able to keep Maryville off the board, beating the Saints 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds came out aggressive early, setting the tone against the Saints from the beginning. It did not take long for UIndy's tempo to pay off, in only the 15th minute
Taylor Peck scored her second goal in the team's last two games to put her team up early. Despite taking the lead, the Hounds remained hungry.
Elena Espinosa had her shot saved, but Peck went back for more. Scoring once again off a
Dana Youssef corner kick to go up 2-nil with 20 minutes to go in the half.

UIndy came out of the break still holding their 2-0 lead. The Hounds continued to look to score and keep the ball on the Maryville side of the field. The Saints were able to put a shot on goal with less than 10 minutes to go in the game, but
Sophia Saucerman recorded her second-straight shutout, as the Hounds beat Maryville 2-0 in a crucial GLVC game with the final week of the season approaching next week.

Taylor Peck made a strong case for her second-straight GLVC offensive player of the week award. The junior from Oswego, Ill., finished the weekend with three goals, giving her seven on the year.
-UIndy's defense has been swallowing up their opponents the last two weeks, shutting out their opponents in three of their last four contests.
-Heading into the final weekend of the regular, UIndy currently sits in third-place in the GLVC after Sunday's win broke a three-way tie that included Maryville.
