INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's soccer team welcomed the Lindenwood Lions to Key Stadium Friday night as part of their two game weekend at home. The Hounds dropped the Friday night matchup with one of the GLVC's newest addition, 1-0.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams were going at it early, not being able to get a leg up on the other. The Hounds put a shot on target in the 30th minute, which started some physical play between the two squads shortly after. UIndy had to play a man down after losing sophomore
Kendall Allen to a red card in the 33rd minute. Lindenwood was able to find a gap in the UIndy back line in the 39th minute after threatening shortly before to take the 1-0 lead into the half as well.
Â
Momentum from the Greyhound offense felt like they were about to find the game-tying goal sooner rather than later. The Lions defense stood tall against the Greyhound attack to hold UIndy scoreless down the stretch as Lindenwood held on to the 1-0 win.
