HOW IT HAPPENED
UIndy started out strong, taking a four point lead in the game's opening minutes. All-GLVC selection
Emma Benoit got things started off for the Hounds before transfers
Dasia Evans and
Paige Barrett quickly got involved in the Greyhound offense. The Butler offense got going in the final four minutes of the first period, going on a 12-0 run to close out the period.

 The Bulldog offense kept things going in the second just they had late in the first, leading by as much as 17 points. The Hounds caught fire towards the end of the quarter like Butler had in the previous frame. Barrett and Evans sparked the UIndy offense before freshman
Marissa Knobloch came off the bench to bury a three on her first collegiate field goal attempt. The Hounds kept chipping away at the Butler lead as they went to the locker room down 30-23 at half.

Butler opened the second half on a 12-2 run, to cushion their lead for the second half. The Bulldogs were opportunistic when it came to scoring off Greyhound turnovers, leading by as much as 23 after a three-pointer just before the buzzer at the end of the third. They were able to maintain their lead down the stretch as UIndy got was able to sub in some reserves later in the period as Butler won, 7-46.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-Two of UIndy's strongest performers Saturday afternoon came from their front court.
Emma Benoit and
Dasia Evans looked to be a strong combination in the paint on the offensive side as well as on the boards. Benoit went for 8 points and 7 boards while Evans finished with 11 and 8 rebounds.
-
Paige Barrett was arguably the Greyhounds best shooters from the field against Butler. The Murray State transfer finished 4-of-7 from the field to finish with 10 points in her UIndy debut.
-UIndy won the rebounding battle of Saturday afternoon, grabbing four more rebounds than the Bulldogs.
