INDIANAPOLIS – Bouncing back with a 4-0 win at the expense of Rockhurst Friday night, the UIndy men's soccer team was back in action Sunday afternoon. The Hounds hosted William Jewell on Senior Day at Key Stadium as the Greyhounds took care of business against the Cardinals, winning 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Barely over a minute went off the scoreboard before the Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead.
Javier Steinwascher kicked off his senior day with a goal assisted by his brother gave UIndy the early advantage. UIndy took their 1-0 lead into the break with
Miles Palmer not facing a shot on goal in the first period from the Cardinals.

UIndy's second goal of the day did not come as quickly as the first goal, but still came early in the half.
Javier Steinwascher continued his dominance on senior day with another goal in the 49th minute, his second of the day to push the Greyhound lead to 2-nil. The Greyhounds were awarded a penalty kick with just over four minutes to go in the half.
Aba Phutin stepped up to take the PK for the Hounds, was initially saved by the Jewell keeper before Phutin rebounded his miss and found the back of the net to push the lead to three in the closing minutes as the Hounds won 4-0 after another

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-The Greyhounds will host their opening round game of the GLVC tournament. UIndy last hosted a GLVC tournament contest in 2017, beating Bellarmine on their way to winning the conference tournament and making an NCAA tournament appearance.
-Despite having a phenomenal senior season,
Javier Steinwascher recorded his first multi-goal game of the season in the Greyhound win Sunday afternoon.

Miles Palmer's last two starts have resulted in clean sheets for the Graduate student from England. The last time Palmer recorded two-consecutive shutouts in GLVC play came in 2017 against Missouri S&T and Southern Indiana.
