INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's soccer team has been no stranger to GLVC player of the week awards as of late. The Greyhounds swept player of the week awards for the second-straight week this week with
Taylor Peck and
Sophia Saucerman being named conference players of the week once again.
Â
Peck earned her third-straight offensive player of the week award. The junior from Oswego has been on a roll as of late, scoring seven goals in her last five games. Peck scored both game-winning goals for the Hounds last weekend while also chipping in an assist on an
Emily Del Campo goal against Rockhurst. On Sunday, Peck scored UIndy's lone goal in the 1-0 win over William Jewell.
Â
Saucerman notched two more shutouts this weekend to make it four-straight and six total on the season. The freshman from Cathedral recorded a career-high nine saves against Rockhurst as the Hounds shut out the Hawks 3-0 Friday night. Saucerman tallied six more saves against William Jewell Sunday afternoon as the Hounds locked up the No. 2 seed in the GLVC tournament.
