Women's Soccer Inches Up in Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's soccer team jumped up three spots from last week's initial regional rankings. After debuting at No. 9 in the poll last week, the Hounds crept up to No. 7 this week after shutout wins this past weekend.

The top eight teams from each region will move on to the NCAA tournament beginning on November 22nd, hosted by the top-seeded team in the region. The Greyhounds are the second-highest ranked GLVC team in this week's poll, trailing McKendree who came in at No. 6, while Rockhurst rounded out the top eight while Bellarmine sits on the outside looking in at 9th ahead of the GLVC tournament.

The Greyhounds earned the right to host the quarterfinals of the GLVC tournament at Key Stadium to open up the postseason. UIndy will play Southern Indiana Sunday afternoon at Key Stadium, kicking off against the Screaming Eagles at 12 pm ET.
