LIBERTY, Mo. – The UIndy volleyball team (18-8, 9-4 GLVC) rounded its road slate on Saturday afternoon, sweeping William Jewell (11-18, 4-9 GLVC) on its senior day.

Hannah Huppenbauer led the attack from the middle, posting 11 kills on 19 attempts without committing an error. The sophomore also contributed two blocks in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jewell held the early lead against UIndy in the opening set, but it was
Katie Furlong who paced the Greyhound comeback with kills on the way to a win.
Taylor Jacquay and
Kyra Simmons joined Huppenbauer with three kills in the frame, while libero
MaKenna Barnhart scooped up nine digs.

The second set was all Greyhounds, as the team hit .529 as a unit to grab the 2-0 advantage. UIndy committed just two attacking errors in the frame, with Huppenbauer adding five more kills to her total.

The offense was down in the third frame, but the block picked up for UIndy as the Greyhounds recorded all three stops in the final set. Jacquay scored five more kills to finish with a match-best 12 putaways.

The Greyhounds return for the final weekend of the regular season next Friday evening against Southwest Baptist. The match will kick off senior weekend, with the team planning to celebrate three players on Saturday prior to its match against Drury.
