Offense was a premium in the first of the doubleheader for both teams. It took five full innings before either team lit up the scoreboard with the Hounds taking the 1-0 lead.
Macy Holdsworth crossed home plate after reaching second base on a NDC error. Holdsworth came around to cross home plate the next batter when
Blake Richardson singled to center field. The Falcons tied it back up right away in the next inning and neither team was able to take the lead back before we went to extra innings. It took four more innings to decide the winner when the Falcons scored on a sacrifice fly to deep right field to win game one 2-1.

Indianapolis 7, Notre Dame (OH) 6
Â
Kyle Orloff got things going in the second game for the Hounds in a hurry, going yard for the first time this season when he sent the ball over the left field fence for a two-run homer in the bottom of the 1st. The Falcons would come back in the second inning with two runs of their own, but the Hounds came back with two more runs to push their lead back to two runs. UIndy did not trail in the second game despite NDC tying the game in the top of the 8th, the Hounds plated one more to go up 7-6 and that's the score the game ended with.
