LEBANON, Ill. – After an offensive explosion Wednesday afternoon at Oakland City, the UIndy baseball team returned to GLVC action Saturday afternoon at McKendree. The Hounds and McKendree split the first two games of their series on the opening day of the series.

INDIANAPOLIS 7, McKENDREE 4
UIndy led off the game with scoring one run in the opening inning until the Bearcats took a 2-1 lead in the next inning. The Hounds came back shortly after with a
Hunter Waning homerun in the fourth inning, bringing a run on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning, and then bringing in his third RBI in the sixth inning on a sac fly. McKendree tied things up at four in the seventh inning, UIndy came back with three runs in the top of the eighth to come away with the 7-4 win in game one.

McKENDREE 2, INDIANAPOLIS 1
McKendree got things started in the second game, bringing in the game's first run on a two out double to left center field, giving the Bearcats the 1-0 advantage. The Bearcats were able to hold onto their lead that they took in the fourth inning until the eighth inning when the Hounds tied up on a
Joe Kenney sacrifice fly. The Bearcats were able to get a runner on third base with one out in the bottom of the ninth and were able to bring in the winning run on a wild pitch to come away with the 2-1 win to split the doubleheader with the Hounds.
