SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After splitting yesterday's doubleheader, the UIndy baseball team wrapped up their series at Drury Saturday afternoon. The Hounds sparked a late comeback in the seventh and eighth innings, before taking the lead in the ninth to win the series finale 8-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhound trailed by a score of 5-2 heading into the seventh inning. The top of the seventh was the turning point for the Hounds offense, scoring three runs in the inning, starting when
Kyle Orloff scored on a Panther balk before
Jake Perreira and
Devon Hensley each knocked in a run to tie the game. The Panthers re-took the lead in the bottom of the seventh before the Hounds tied the game at six heading into the ninth inning. Hensley came back with the go-ahead two-run homerun with two outs in the ninth to take the 8-6 lead. The Panthers came close to tying the game in the ninth inning, leaving a runner on third with two outs before flying out to give the Greyhounds the 8-7 win over Drury.

Jake Sprinkle took the bump for the Hounds today, going two innings and giving up four runs before
Parker Nolan came in in relief. Nolan also went two innings for UIndy, only sacrificing one hit and one run of the six batters he faced.
David Corbin went the longest for UIndy today, going four and two-thirds in relief and getting four strikeouts on the day. Senior
Matt Rearick came in to face the last batter of the game, getting the Panthers final hope to foul out to right field to hold on to the win.
