KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – After spending the last couple weekends at home, the UIndy baseball team took a weekend road trip to Kirksville, Missouri, to face the Truman Bulldogs. The Hounds took game one easily despite falling behind early before sweeping Truman in Friday's doubleheader.

INDIANAPOLIS 25, TRUMAN 2 (7 innings)
Truman took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. UIndy came back with vengeance in second inning with five runs on home runs from
Hunter Waning and
Kyle Orloff. The Greyhounds were not done scoring after that inning, scoring 11 runs in the third inning to blow the game wide open. UIndy added five runs in the fourth inning and four more in the seventh to run rule Truman. UIndy's seven home runs in a game is their most in a game since game-by-game stats became available in 1999.
Reid Werner took the mound for the Hounds in game one, throwing five innings only giving up two earned runs while recording nine K's for his sixth win of the season.Â

INDIANAPOLIS 15, TRUMAN 4 (7 innings)
Another game for the Hounds ending in the run rule. Game two started with a
Joe Kenney two-run shot in the second inning.
Devon Hensley would touch them all in the seventh inning before the game ended. UIndy's big inning came in the sixth inning when four separate Hounds went yard against the Bulldogs. Freshman
Isaac Bair led off the home run barrage with a two-run dinger before
Tyler Phillips,
Will Smithey, and Kenney (again) all hit bombs out of Bulldog Baseball Park. Bair joined
Macy Holdsworth and Kenney as Hounds with multiple home runs on the day. Kenney led the team with four jacks on the day.
