INDIANAPOLIS- The UIndy women's tennis team, fresh off of a 2019 GLVC Tournament Championship, still sit atop the newest edition of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings, released Wednesday afternoon. In addition, the Hounds hopped up one spot in the ITA Division II Team Ranking taking the #6 spot nationally.
The Greyhounds still sport an undefeated 21-0 record heading into the NCAA postseason, which begins May 13 with the Super Regional round on campus sites.
UIndy comes in at #6, up one spot from last week's #5 ranking in the ITA Division II Team Ranking. Barry currently holds D2's top spot with Lynn, Saint Leo and Columbus State ahead of the Greyhounds rounding out the top five.Â
Individually, GLVC Freshman of the Year
Nikol Alexeeva comes in as the nation's #10 singles player, while GLVC Player of the Year
Hanna Volikova is #19 in the nation on the singles court. In doubles, Alexeeva and
Anya Novikova held strong at #5 in NCAA Division II.
