SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Heading into the final week of their regular season, the UIndy baseball team traveled to face Illinois Springfield on the road. The Hounds and Prairie Stars both appeared in this week's regional rankings, UIS checking in at No. 4 and UIndy at No. 8. The Prairie Stars got the best of the Hounds today, taking both of today's games from UIndy.

ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD 11, INDIANAPOLIS 10
UIndy struggled to get on the board until the fourth inning when they got five runs on the board. After getting four runs on a pair of UIS errors and grounding out to infielders,
Jake Perreira touched them all to give UIndy the 6-2 lead. UIS came back in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at six-all. UIndy scored a pair of runs in the sixth, a
Tyler Phillips home run in the eighth, and one more run in the ninth to go into the final inning with a 10-7 lead. Springfield started off the inning with a two-run home run before a walk-off single to take game one, 11-10.

ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD 20, INDIANAPOLIS 2
Springfield started off the game with five runs in the second, had a pair of big innings with five more runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth inning. UIS led UIndy 18-2 after five innings, tacked on two more runs with a two-run home run in the sixth before the Prairie Stars won game two with the run rule taking place after the seventh inning.
