ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The awards keep rolling in for two UIndy baseball players. Seniors
Macy Holdsworth and
Kyle Orloff added all-region honors to their long list of awards. Both Holdsworth and Orloff were named to second-team all-region by the region's sports information directors. Holdsworth and Orloff are UIndy's first all-region recipients since 2016.
The seniors were named first-team all-GLVC last week by conference coaches. Holdsworth ended his Greyhound career this year leading the team in batting average, hitting .374 while leading the nation in doubles with 23 during the 2019 campaign. Orloff finished second in batting average behind Holdsworth, batting .342 on the season while also hitting nine homers in his final season.
The GLVC had 13 total all-conference selections across the two teams. Bellarmine's Zac Wiley was named the region player of the year while Wayne State's Hunter Brown was tabbed region pitcher of the year.
