Greyhounds Post Lofty Semester GPA

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis athletic department announced Tuesday that its nearly 700 student-athletes combined for an impressive 3.32 grade point average for the 2019 fall semester. All 21 UIndy's athletic programs posted a semester GPA of at least 3.0, with nine teams finishing the fall north of 3.5.

"UIndy student-athletes understand that their academics are a top priority," said UIndy Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Sue Willey.  "It is very rewarding to see them excel in the classroom as well as in their respective sports."

Compiling a stellar fall GPA of 3.873, the women's tennis team led all UIndy squads in the classroom. They were followed closely by women's cross country at 3.819, with men's tennis (3.789), softball (3.669) and women's golf (3.632) rounding out the top five.

On the field, the Hounds engineered an historic fall season, earning the No. 9 spot in the latest Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings.
