TIFFIN, Ohio – The UIndy men's golf team secured the runner-up spot at the Kyle Ryman Memorial Tuesday. Three Greyhounds placed in the top 10, with
Erik Edwards and
Oliver Mast sharing eighth at one-over par. Held at Mohawk Golf & Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio, the tournament featured 16 teams and 96 golfers.
Edwards (73-71-73) and Mast (72-71-74) topped teammate
Keegan Bronnenberg (75-71-72), who tied for 10th, by a single stroke. All three Greyhounds carded a one-under 71 in Monday's second round.
The two remaining members of the UIndy lineup also finished in the top 20;
Spencer Klimek (74-73-74) shared 16th place while
Ian Carroll (73-74-76) tied for 20th. Klimek was making his first appearance in the Greyhound top five this season.
Two individuals also competed for the Hounds, including
Kyle Wensel (T-31st) and
Jacob Nickell (T-48th).
After finishing runner-up to UIndy each of the last two weeks, Findlay flipped the script by setting school records for lowest 18-hole team score (273) and lowest 54-hole tournament team score (845). Four Oilers finished at even-par or better, including medalist Tanner Grzegorczyk (-7).

The Greyhounds head west to St. Louis next week for the Midwest Regional at Fox Run on Oct. 12-13.
