INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's golf team hosted a region-heavy field at the UIndy Invitational this week, held at Broadmoor Country Club Monday and Tuesday. With four of their top five finishing at even par or better, the Greyhounds surged to a fourth-place finish.

Senior
Alexander Nestun had a stellar week, carding three consecutive red numbers to finish in eighth place at -7. After a first-round 71, the Landeryd, Sweden native fired back-to-back 69s to secure a spot in the top 10.

Fellow-senior
Joseph Armfield went 72-69-72 to share 16th place among the 92 golfers. The freshman trio of
Caden Matthias (-1), Jacoby Schmidlap (E) and
Noah Johnson (+5) followed. They combined for four rounds under par, including Johnson's first-round 68.

UIndy fielded a second team as well. Freshman
Baker Tolentino paced the "Grey Team" with a score of +3, good for a share of 41st place. His second-round 68 matched Johnson's for the lowest round by a Greyhound all week.

The Greyhounds remain in-state with the Midwest Collegiate, hosted Sept. 28-29 at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
