INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's basketball team returned home for their first game in Nicoson Hall in nearly two weeks. The Greyhounds hosted Quincy and it was a tale of two halves as the Hounds erased a five point deficit at the half to outscore the visitors by 30 in a 76-51 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds got off to a fast start, going on a 15-5 run before Quincy hit a layup just before the buzzer sounded at the end of the first. The UIndy defense held the Hawks to 37 percent shooting before Quincy came back in the second quarter to shoot 58 percent to score 22 points in the frame while holding the Hounds to 10.
Laura Thomas led the UIndy attack with 13 points in the first half as Quincy took a 37-32 lead into the locker room.

Emma Benoit helped spark the UIndy offense after falling behind by nine. The Hounds would go on a 22-5 run that saw Quincy go without a field goal made and all their points coming from the foul line exclusively. UIndy took an eight point lead into the fourth quarter and the rout was on. Quincy was held scoreless for over seven minutes before getting their first points of the fourth period with just over two minutes left. The UIndy defense held the Hawks to 12 percent shooting from the field in the final stanza as UIndy picked up the 76-51 win.

-The Greyhounds dominated the boards once again Thursday night hauling in 50 boards, their second-most in a game this season.

Mya Scheidt played a career-high 19 minutes in the win, filling up the stat sheet with three points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Taylor Drury contributed a season-best 10 points on an efficient 4-of-5 shooting. Drury joined
Laura Thomas,
McKenzy Telfair, and
Paige Barrett as Greyhounds to finish in double-figures.
