WINGATE, N.C. – The No. 10 UIndy men's lacrosse team (2-1) received a second straight hat trick from redshirt-senior
Kansai Garey on Saturday afternoon, but a slow start doomed the Greyhounds in a 13-7 loss to 12th-ranked Wingate University.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead before the Hounds could muster a goal, including a 5-0 start after the first quarter.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Garey looked to turn UIndy's fortune around at the 12:07 mark of the second quarter, with
Drew Billig following suit six minutes later to get the Hounds on the board, but Wingate answered with two of its own before halftime.

The Greyhounds cut the deficit to four out of the break, with
Connor Eskridge and
Ben Foster joining Garey in the scoring column to make it 9-5 late in the third frame.
Mike Doyle found the back of the cage early in the fourth quarter to inch the Hounds closer, but the Bulldogs tallied the final three scores to close out the ranked victory.
