EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The UIndy women's basketball team made the trek down I-69 Saturday afternoon for their regular season finale against Southern Indiana. The Screaming Eagles took the first matchup against the Hounds just last month and completed the season sweep of UIndy, winning 81-64.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a tightly contested first period with neither team able to pull away with a lead from the other. The Greyhounds led by as much as five but buckets on back-to-back possessions from USI cut the UIndy lead right back down to just one heading into the second period.
Marissa Knobloch came off the bench to continue what she does best in being a threat from deep. The freshman from Marengo, Ill., drilled triples on two straight possessions to put her team back on top. An 11-2 run from the Screaming Eagles helped push them to a 38-33 lead going into halftime.
Â
The third quarter is where one team finally was able to pull away from the other, the hosts being that team Saturday afternoon. USI's 29 point third quarter where they shot almost 65 percent from the field was pivotal in the game as it helped seal the game for the Screaming Eagles before winning the game by a final score of 81-64.
