INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis volleyball team picked up a GLVC win on Friday night, taking down visiting Lindenwood University in five sets. The Hounds won the first two sets before edging the Lions in a nail-biting fifth set. Four Hounds finished in double figure kills.

Each of the first three sets were decided by a score off 25-22 with the Hounds winning the first two. UIndy posted a blistering .436 hitting percentage in the first set with 20 kills.
The decisive fifth set lived up to the hype as neither team was able to lead by more than one point until the Lions took a 9-7 lead. Their lead was short-lived as the Hounds fired off four points to take an 11-9 lead.  Grace Hegwood, Hannah Sabotin and Elizabeth Eads all recorded kills in the run.

HOUNDÂ BYTES
Outside hitter Cullison...
"We can put anyone out there and we know that we can win. We trust everybody. Hannah went in for an injury and she played with the most confidence. She balled out and I'm so proud of her. Tonight's win gave us a lot of positive energy going into tomorrow. We're prepared to play like we know we can."
Middle blocker Sabotin...
"Going into tonight, we knew we all needed to do our jobs. We're all strong volleyball players. We knew we needed to support each other and work together to get a victory. Now we just need to reset. We need to reset our mindset. We'll remember the win and make sure it motivates us for our next match."
