INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's soccer team wrapped up their final home match with a 1-0 overtime win against the Drury Panthers on Sunday afternoon at Key Stadium.
The Greyhounds celebrated eight seniors prior to kick off.
Kiki Sauceda - who currently leads UIndy in goals,
Taylor Peck,
Dana Youssef,
Jess Hudnall,
Sydney Nolan,
Meredith Magee,
Maddie Barkow, and
Kaylee Zimbelmann are amongst the seniors whose careers were celebrated with friends and family prior to the match.
After a scoreless two halves on the wet turf of Key Stadium, a penalty kick from
Maria Herrero sailed the Greyhounds into pure excitement to take the win on senior night. The physical match tallied 23 fouls, with the Hounds drawing 14 of them.
Sophia Saucerman started in the goal for the Greyhounds, making two saves, while freshman
Jenna Taghikhani finished the match and made two saves. Offensively,
Sarah Wegener led the Greyhounds in shots with two.
