SAINT CHARLES, Mo. –
Taylor Peck scored her second and third goal of the season to secure the 2-1 win over the Lindenwood Lions on Friday afternoon. After earning a
regional ranking this past week, the Hounds extend their record to 10-2-2 with the victory.
"Lindenwood is battling to make the tournament so we knew it would be a tough fought game," said Head Coach,
Holly Cox. "We created a lot of dangerous opportunities to put the game away,"
After Peck's first goal, assisted by
Alexi Hardie, the Lions tied it up to end the first half only to be answered by another netter by Peck, assisted by
Maddie Barkow.
Peck led the Hounds with a 100 percent shot on goal percentage in taking three shots on goal in 81 minutes played, while
Jenna Taghikhani and
Sophia Saucerman split time as the Hounds goaltender.
Erika Anstine led Lindenwood with 11 saves.
