INDIANAPOLIS – Senior running back
Toriano Clinton racked up a school-record 287 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead the host Greyhounds (4-2, 2-0 GLVC) to a 57-28 Homecoming win versus McKendree (2-4, 1-1) at Key Stadium Saturday night. In all, the Hounds amassed 737 yards of total offense and averaged nearly 11 yards per snap.
In addition to breaking the UIndy single-game record for the second time this season, Clinton hit two more milestones Saturday, surpassing 1,000 yards for the season as well as becoming just the seventh player in school history to eclipse 3,000 rushing yards for his career.
The Calumet, Ill., native first broke the record with 270 yards at Hillsdale in week two. Furthermore, he set a national record last week with 197 rushing yards in the first quarter at Southwest Baptist, most ever by a Division II player in a single quarter.
