INDIANAPOLIS – Dana Youssef has continued to show her dominance academically as she has been named to the 2021 Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team for the second straight year as announced on Thursday.
The reining Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year holds a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in Biology. Youssef has started in all 14 regular season matches for the Greyhounds this season and has planted four assists along with eight shots on goal.
To be eligible for the nomination, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in good academic standing with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must be a starter or important reserve. Youssef will move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America honorees for men's and women's soccer will be announced on December 9th.
