CANTON, Ohio – The UIndy women's basketball team opened its 2021-22 campaign on the road, dropping a 79-64 final at Malone University. The Greyhounds (0-1) owned a slim one-point advantage after third quarters but managed just eight points in the fourth as the host Pioneers (1-0) pulled away.

Taylor Drury lead the Hounds with 18 points, while senior
Mickey Sasson added seven points, seven boards and four assists.

The Greyhounds scored 38 points in the paint, and 16 points off the bench. Overall 46.3 percent from field goal range, and made 91.7 percent of it's free throws.Â
The Pioneers were led by Holly Groff who had 32 points and four boards.Â
