INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's soccer team officially punched its ticket to the postseason on Monday night as the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee announced the field for the upcoming NCAA DII Championships. The Greyhounds earned the No. 5 seed in the Midwest bracket, making their second straight NCAA tournament appearance.

The 2021 NCAA Midwest Regional gets underway from on Thursday on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.  UIndy will face the No. 4 seed McKendree at 10 am ET while the other first-round matchup will feature the host and No. 1 seed Grand Valley State versus the No. 8 seed Cedarville at 1 pm ET. The winners of each match will face off with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line at 11 am ET on Saturday.

This marks UIndy's fourth-ever NCAA tournament appearance after earning bids in 2006, 2009 and 2019. In '19, the last time the NCAA DII Championship was held, the Hounds notched a pair of postseason wins to advance to their first-ever Sweet 16 appearance.
