ST. LOUIS, MO – The University of Indianapolis volleyball team is back in the win column after a four-set victory over Maryville in their final road match of the regular season.  The Hounds hit 0.286 in the final set to seal the GLVC win and move to 9-7 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tied at 17 the Hounds utilized a 7-2 run to jump out to a 24-19 lead.  Elizabeth Eads served up an ace in the run while Lauren Cullison tabbed a pair of kills.  Even again at 25, Hannah Sabotin came up with a kill before an attack error gave the Hounds the first set victory at 27-25.

The Hounds trailed 17-15 in the second before a 6-0 run gave them a 21-17 advantage.  Cullison came up clutch again, this time with a trio of kills in the run.  UIndy recorded four of the final points of the set en route to the 25-18 win.

A kill from Grace Hegwood put the Hounds ahead 23-21 in the fourth before Maryville scored the next three points to take a 24-23 lead.  Tied at 24, a pair of kills gave the Saints the 26-24 win.

UIndy trailed 13-12 in the fourth frame until an explosive 11-0 run put the Hounds ahead 24-12.  Hegwood tallied four kills in the run while Eads tallied three.  The Saints scored a few points until Hegwood put the match away with a kill.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Hounds recorded 11 blocks in the match marking the fifth time this season they recorded double digit blocks.
- The two teams were even in aces (6) and assists (48).
- Hegwood paced the Hounds with 15 kills while Cullison tallied 14.
- Hannah Huppenbauer recorded six kills followed by Cullison at four.
- Alex Equihua dished out 45 assists while Gillian Santana paced the defense with 26 digs.

UIndy returns home for their final two matches of the regular season next week.  The Hounds host McKendree on Tuesday followed by Illinois Springfield on Saturday.
