INDIANAPOLIS—The UIndy women's basketball team bid farewell to 2021 with a 78-66 win against in-region Ferris State Friday afternoon in Nicoson Hall. The Greyhounds compiled a season-high field goal percentage in the New Year's Eve victory while snapping the Bulldogs' 10-game winning streak.

INS & OUTS
After scoring the final seven points of the first half, the Hounds carried that momentum in the third quarter as both
Taylor Drury and
Sadie Hill drained 3-pointers shortly after the break. The long-range shooting fueled a 24-7 run that spanned the halftime intermission, upping the Hounds' led to 11.
Â
Ferris would not go away quietly, however. With a roster teeming with weapons, the Bulldogs slowly chipped away at the margin, pulling to within three on a buzzer-beating triple at the end of the third quarter.
Â
But UIndy started to final quarter with a 12-2 spurt to retake control. The Hounds kept the 'Dogs at arm's length the rest of the way, leading by as many as 13 points and no fewer than eight.
