INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's soccer team continues to receive postseason recognition, this time in the form of United Soccer Coaches All-Region selections. Dana Youssef and Kiki Sauceda both earned 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-Region honors as announced by the association this afternoon.
Youssef was named to the First Team for her second All-Region First Team honor of the season. The graduate student anchored a UIndy defense that allowed just nine goals in league play with a 0.64 goals against average. Offensively the Monchengladback, Germany native tallied four assists in the regular season while taking 15 shots. She was brought home the GLVC Defensive Player of the Year Award for the second straight season.
Sauceda earned Second Team honors after pacing the team with 15 goals including a pair of hat tricks. The San Bernadino, Calif. Native netted six game winners while tallying 33 points on the year. She adds to her D2CCA All-Region First Team selection and Region Player of the Year award.
