AUSTIN, Texas – Dana Youssef of the UIndy women's soccer team was named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Women's Soccer Team on Thursday, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The graduate student earned First Team honors for the second straight season.
The Monchengladbach, Germany native carries a perfect 4.0 GPA while studying Biology. She in one of 12 student-athletes on this years All-America® team with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Youssef guided the Hounds to an 11-4-3 record this year and their second consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. The captain adds to this seasons awards of GLVC Defensive Player of the Year, a pair of All-Region nods and a D2CCA All-America selection.
This marks the ninth Academic All-America® award in program history for UIndy women's soccer. Youssef is the second Greyhound to be a two-time honoree behind Michelle Sovern in 2004 and 2005.
