Streaking Hounds Hold Off Miners, 79-72

ROLLA, Mo. – The hottest team in the GLVC continued to roll Saturday, as the UIndy women's basketball team notched its sixth straight win with a 79-72 victory at Missouri S&T. The Greyhounds fended off a late rally from the host Miners to hang on, while senior Taylor Drury delivered a career-high 28 points.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds were able to get off to a 59-45 in the first three quarters of action, but the Miners looked to erase the deficit entirely off of a 24-10 run to start the final quarter and ties the game up at 69's. Coming out of a UIndy timeout, Sadie Hill checked into the contest and had an immediate impact with a layup within four seconds of action to take the lead again. Drury would respond with four-straight points of her own in the game, she dished a layup and sunk two free throws to bring the Hounds to a six-point lead with 42 seconds left. Mickey Sasson would ice the game, the senior tossed two free throws for the last two points and continue UIndy's streak.

Lauren With helped the Greyhounds out rebound the Miners on Saturday, the sophomore pulled down 14 of her own to lead the team and set a new career-high. Sasson added eight of her own as UIndy out rebounded the Miners 35-32. Mya Schedit would come off the bench and still have great vision on the floor, the junior dished six of the Hounds 23 total assists in the contest. The team's passing found shooters like Marissa Knobloch a variety of open looks, as Knobloch nailed four shots from deep to total 16 points overall.
