ST. LOUIS, Miss. – The University of Indianapolis volleyball team dropped two matches during the trip to Missouri on Saturday.
The Hounds fell 3-1 to both #9 Missouri-St.Louis and  #17 Rockhurst.
MISSOURI-ST.LOUIS
Senior 
Taylor Jacquay posted 15 kills in the loss, she was followed by Sophomore 
Emma Jones who had two and four blocks. 
Gillian Santana added 24 digs, while 
Grace Hegwood had 17.
"We showed some nice moments today against some great opponents," said head coach 
Jason Reed. "but, it's just not enough to play well at times."
Total the Hounds tallied 46 kills in the match, while the Tritons had 69. UMSL dug up 99 balls during the match, while the Greyhounds had 91.
Mya Elliot led the Tritons with 20 kills and two blocks.
ROCKHURST
Emma Jones totaled 14 kills in the match against Rockhurst, while Sophomore Libero 
MaKenna Barnhart had 25 digs.
Alex Equihua posted 43 of the Hounds 46 total assists.
Rockhurst posted 18 blocks during the match, while the Hounds had five. RU was led by Averi Vomastic who had 16 kills and one ace.
"We passed very well today," mentioned Reed. "We're struggling on offense."
UP NEXT 
The Hounds travel to Liberty, Miss. on Mar. 6 where they will face William Jewell (11 a.m. ET) and Truman (3 p.m. ET).
"We will get back to work next week and look to rebound on the road again."
